I wasn’t too sure about buying this because “if it’s on sale there must be a reason.” Well even though I just got it in the mail I’ve been saving my nail cutting for today and I can’t say I’m disappointed. The nail cutters all require about the same force cutting the nail as it does to just close them without a nail in them. The scissors seem flimsy and cheap but let’s be honest nobody is buying this set for them. The nail file works well I don’t expect it to last nearly as long as the rest of the tools though. The nail cleaners work just fine I prefer the rounded one over the pointed/angled one. The V-shaped tool I don’t know what’s it is or what it’s for (though I can always consult Google to find out) so I can’t write anything about that. I didn’t want to use the ear wax remover but since I’m writing about everything else I had to. It works really well I got a surprising amount of wax out of my ears despite this I probably won’t use it much (I dislike putting even q-tips in my ears). The tweezers are a little weak but they’ll do in a pinch (pun intended). I don’t currently have any blemishes so I can’t say anything about the pimple/blackhead tool. All in all I would say this is a great case to get even if you get it just for the four nail cutters I think you’d be getting your money’s worth.

The kit contains many items. I probably won’t use most of them. The metal feels substantially cheaper than other individual tools (clippers tweezers etc.) that I have purchased at department stores. However each of those individual items usually cost 1/3 to 1/2 as much as this entire kit. The kit itself feels very solid but is similarly cheaper. It’s a bit difficult to pull the tools out of the kit without scratching the metal trim or the tools themselves. The fabric liner and trim are adequate but I suspect that the seems that hold the fabric and padding to the frame will not last long with much use. Fortunately I will not need to open or close the case much but when I do I will need to be careful with it. For the price I got what I paid for. In retrospect I’d have probably opted to spend a bit more for something for equally higher quality.

I bought this because it was advertised as stainless steel and it is. The instruments are generally well made though a few were disappointing. The nail clippers are good: sturdy and sharp. The “toenail trimmer” essentially a small sidecutter had a burr at the base that interfered with it closing completely. A few seconds with a rotary tool and diamond burr fixed that. The “eyebrow scissors” are a bit lightweight but adequately sharp. The “blackhead tool” point was bent—I won’t use it in any event so no big deal. It could easily be sharpened. The tweezers are very lightweight as is the nail file. The rest of the tools are fine. The case is very nice and compact with a secure closure. In short this is a very good manicure set for the money and the warranty and return policy make it a very good deal.

Good little set. Not the best quality I’ve ever had but not bad either. All in all this is a good set and I am pleased with the value.Pros:1) clippers are pretty good. You have four kinds to choose from in this set so you really can’t go wrong in finding the right clipper for your nail clipping needs. They are sharp enough to be effective. I have moderately thick nails and these cut through them with ease. You shouldn’t have issues unless you have rocks for nails…then they may not make it though.2) these are pretty heavyweight tools. They all have blades that meet evenly and they arrived neatly packaged. Quality seems to be good.3) the case is nice and compact and fits a lot. This is great! Everything has a neat little spot. This will fit well inside a drawer and no need to worry about a ton of sharp instruments loosely floating through drawers.Cons:1) the case that I love also has a downside. It is a bit tough to close.mine can easily open if you accidentally hit the side button. If everything is right in its place it does its job but do be cautious as it could open and you find yourself poked by one of the instruments.All in all awesome kit! Excited to have it all in one place.
