Sunshine1.0: really disappointing for a Elizabeth Arden product. I have used the 8 hours original cream and body treatment and I was very happy. the fragrance in the hand cream is horrible. plus it is not a good moisturising product. I work in the beauty industry as a chemist and seeing that they used dimethicone in the ingredients (silicone) is poor. I’m not worried about the toxicity of silicones I just know that silicones are used because they bring nice textures and smoothness. so you have the illusion that your skin is very soft then actually it moisturizes your skin very poorly. the hand cream doesn’t penetrate through your skin and you end up with a lot little white solid stuff on your hands. I don’t see anything positive in that product.
SSS1.0: The “scent” is less appealing than cheap petroleum based products with an added after whiff of mothballs. It’s quite greasy after application which goes away after an hour but the smell lingers. Unfortunately the first time I bought this was a gift and they were too polite to say how horrible it was so I bought it for myself: that’s two purchases I regret. Instead of spending £20 for this get Palmers Coconut Oil Formula – 1/10th of the price and 10 times as pleasant to use. If you’re going for a gift go Clarins.
Amazon Customer1.0: I ordered the hand cream but got the face cream. So the face cream is great. When try to ask for a replacement from Amazon it’s not easy to just ask a question.
Nic791.0: I ordered this without paying much attention to the negative comments about the smell. I’ve used lots of EA products over the years and they’ve always smelt nice. This is awful. It smells cheap and too chemically. I’ll be going back to clarins even though it’s more expensive.
Harriet5.0: I was recommended this Handcream and will never look back!It smells amazing & the scent really lasts too.It is also really good for keeping my hands moisturised!I am guilty of biting the skin around my fingers and this really helps the little nips I’ve made heal quickly!
