Cristiano Ronaldo continued his impressive goalscoring form, contributing to Al Nassr’s 3-1 victory over Neom SC in the eighth round of the 2025/26 Saudi Pro League.
The match between Al Nassr and Neom SC was evenly matched for the first 45 minutes, despite the visitors having the upper hand in possession and creating chances. Right at the start of the second half, Angelo Gabriel opened the scoring for Al Nassr with a precise finish, breaking the deadlock.
Neom SC were in a very disadvantageous position when Luciano Rodriguez received a red card in the 56th minute, forcing them to play with a man less for most of the remaining time.
Ten minutes later, VAR awarded a penalty to the visitors. In the 11th minute, Ronaldo still the center of attention—calmly converted the penalty in the 65th minute, giving the home team a 2-0 lead. This was also the 40-year-old striker’s 953rd goal.
Neom SC equalized through Ahmed Abdu in the 84th minute. However, their newly ignited hopes were quickly extinguished by Joao Felix. Ronaldo’s Portuguese junior shone with a beautiful long-range strike, securing a 3-1 victory for Al Nassr.
